SCRIPTURES: Psalm 126, Psalm 126:4, Habakkuk 3:2, John 15, Luke 18:1-6, 1 Peter 5:1-10, John 5:19-21)

Further Understanding:
The phrase “do it again” is found in several scriptures, often as a prayer or a declaration of faith in God’s power to repeat past miracles. Examples include
Psalm 126:4 (“Now, Lord, do it again! Restore us to our former glory!”) and Habakkuk 3:2 (“LORD, do great things once again in our time; make those things happen again in our own days”). Other verses use the word “again” in different contexts, such as God’s promise never to destroy the earth with a flood again (Genesis 9:11) and Paul’s repeated instruction to “rejoice” (Philippians 4:4).

Examples of “do it again” in scripture
Psalm 126:4: “Now, Lord, do it again! Restore us to our former glory! May streams of your refreshing flow over us until our dry hearts are drenched again”. This is a prayer for God to repeat past blessings and provision, particularly in a time of hardship.
Habakkuk 3:2: “LORD, I have heard the news about you; I am amazed at what you have done. LORD, do great things once again in our time; make those things happen again in our own days”. The prophet asks God to perform great works in their generation, just as He did in the past.

Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the wasteland”. A similar sentiment is expressed in a different passage, “God made a way last time. He will do it again”.
Other uses of “again”

God’s covenant: “Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth” (Genesis 9:11). This is a promise of a repeated action from God, establishing a new covenant.
Christian instruction: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4).
This is an instruction for believers to repeatedly choose joy.
Freedom: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” (Galatians 5:1). This refers to a repeat of a past oppression that believers should avoid.
God’s Unchanging Nature

The confidence that God “will do it again” is rooted in verses that describe His consistent and unchanging nature:
Malachi 3:6 (NKJV): “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob”.

Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV): “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever”.
These verses affirm that God’s power, faithfulness, and mercy are consistent across time, assuring believers that the God who acted in biblical times is the same God who can act in their lives.
“Elisha’s go again” is a phrase that refers to two distinct but related events in the biblical narratives of the prophets Elijah and Elisha, both found in the books of 1 and 2 Kings. The phrase symbolizes perseverance, unwavering commitment, and the transfer of prophetic authority.
1 Kings 18:43 The Servant’s “Go Again”
The most direct use of a similar phrase occurs when the prophet Elijah tells his servant to “Go again” seven times to look for a sign of rain after a long drought.
* Elijah was praying for rain on Mount Carmel and, full of faith, sent his servant to check the sea for a sign.
* The servant returned six times saying, “There is nothing”.
* On the seventh time, the servant reported a small cloud, the size of a man’s hand, rising from the sea, after which a heavy rain came.
* This act of persistence and obedience in the face of no immediate results is a powerful biblical example of persevering prayer and unwavering faith.

What are the whirling wheels in scripture –
The “whirling wheels” are part of the prophet Ezekiel’s vision of God’s throne-chariot in the book of Ezekiel, symbolizing the omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence of God. These wheels, described as being a wheel within a wheel and covered in eyes, moved with the four “living creatures” (later identified as cherubim) in any direction instantly, without turning. The wheels represent God’s ability to be everywhere at once, to see everything, and to move with immense power and purpose as He directs history.

* Omnipresence: The wheels could move in any direction without turning, demonstrating God’s presence across all of creation, not confined to a single location.
* Omniscience: The eyes on the rims of the wheels symbolized that God sees everything, both good and bad, everywhere at once.

* Omnipotence: The powerful and mobile nature of the wheels represented God’s unlimited power and sovereignty.

* Divine Purpose: The wheels symbolized the unstoppable movement of God’s glory and the unfolding of His plans and judgments. The “spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels,” meaning the wheels moved according to the will of God.
The “whirling wheels” in scripture refer to the detailed vision seen by the prophet Ezekiel in the Old Testament books of Ezekiel, chapters 1 and 10. They are part of a divine throne-chariot (known in Jewish tradition as the Merkabah) that displays the glory and omnipresence of God.
Description in Scripture

The key characteristics of the wheels as described by Ezekiel include:

* Appearance: They sparkled like the gleam of beryl or chrysolite stone.
* Structure: They appeared as “a wheel within a wheel,” suggesting a complex, interconnected structure that allowed for movement in any direction without turning.
* Movement: The wheels moved in perfect synchronization with four living creatures (cherubim) and were guided by the same spirit, moving instantly wherever the Spirit directed.
* Eyes: Their rims were “tall and awesome” and “full of eyes all around,” symbolizing God’s all-seeing nature and omniscience.

Symbolic Significance
The “whirling wheels” are rich in symbolic meaning:

* Omnipresence and Mobility: The ability to move in any of the four directions without turning signifies that God is not confined to one physical location, such as the Temple in Jerusalem. He is present everywhere and can act anywhere in the world.

* Omniscience and Providence: The eyes on the rims emphasize that God sees everything; no human action or event escapes His notice. The complex, orderly movement of the wheels represents the intricate and flawless execution of God’s sovereign plan and providential governance over all creation.

* Divine Judgment and Presence: The vision occurred in the context of impending judgment on Jerusalem and the Babylonian exile. The mobility of the throne signaled that God’s glory could depart from the polluted temple, yet also that His presence could accompany His people into exile, offering assurance of eventual restoration.

* Unity and Obedience: The perfect coordination between the living creatures and the wheels, all moving as one by the same Spirit, symbolizes the perfect harmony and instantaneous obedience of heavenly beings to the divine will.
